How to Hide and Unhide Messages

Team Engine allows users to hide sensitive messages directly within a conversation thread. This feature helps protect private employee or applicant information and improves privacy and compliance.

Previously, users had to contact Customer Support or Engineering to have these messages removed or obscured. Now, users can manage this themselves directly from the Inbox.

How to Hide a Message

1. Open the message thread containing the sensitive message.
2. Hover over the message or locate the message options menu.
3. Click the three dots menu on the message.
4. Select Hide Sensitive Message.

Once hidden, the original message content will no longer be visible. It will be replaced with the following message:

"(This message was hidden by {user's name} or Team Engine)"

This replacement text will be visible to all users who have access to the conversation.

Unhiding Messages

Users with Admin access can also unhide hidden messages if needed.

To unhide a message:

1. Navigate to the message thread.
2. Click the three dots menu on the hidden message.
3. Select Show Sensitive Message.

This helps maintain privacy and compliance.
