How to Identify an Applicant’s Source

Knowing where applicants are coming from can help you understand which recruiting channels are performing best. Team Engine makes it easy to identify whether an applicant applied through targeted ads, your careers page, Indeed, or Indeed Sponsorship.

You can identify an applicant’s source in two ways:

View the Applicant Source in the Applicant Profile

Open the applicant’s profile and look for the source information within their details. This will show where the applicant originally applied from, such as:

• Targeted Ads
• Careers Page
• Indeed
• Indeed Sponsorship

This is the quickest way to check the source for an individual applicant.

Use the Job Applicant Detail Export

You can also run a Job Applicant Detail Export to review applicant sources in bulk. In the export file, there will be a column labeled with the applicant’s source, allowing you to easily sort and analyze where applicants are coming from across all jobs.
