How to Resolve Messaging Issues

During busy periods, such as the winter and holiday season, messages may occasionally fail due to network issues, recipient availability, or messaging limits.

If you encounter a messaging error, please refer to this helpful guide for troubleshooting steps:

Possible Errors and Causes:

  • Queue overflow - High message volume or sender limits reached.
  • Unreachable destination handset - Phone is off, has no signal, is roaming, or cannot receive SMS.
  • Message blocked - Recipient opt-out, carrier blocking, or filtering.
  • Unknown destination handset - Invalid, inactive, or non-SMS-capable number.
  • Landline or unreachable carrier - Destination is a landline or carrier cannot be reached.
  • Message filtered - Message or sender was flagged by filtering systems.
  • Unknown error - Temporary carrier, network, device, sender, or message-format issue.
  • Unregistered Number - Number is not registered

If you experience a messaging error, try the following:

  • Verify the phone number is correct and able to receive text messages.
  • Check the recipient's phone and network connection to make sure they have service.
  • Review the message content and try sending a shorter message if needed.
  • Remove the phone number from the profile and add it back, then try sending the message again.
  • Retry the message after a few minutes if the issue appears temporary.
  • If the error continues, contact Support and provide the affected message details or error code so we can investigate.
