What Can Each User Role Do in Team Engine?

Team Engine offers different permission levels to control what users can access and manage. Assign the appropriate level based on each user's responsibilities within your organization.

What Are the Different Permission Levels?

Account Admin

Account Admins have full access to the Team Engine platform. These users are typically configured when your account is first created.

Account Admins can:

  • Add or disable users.
  • Edit payment methods.
  • Manage social media advertising spend.

They also receive certain notifications, including social media ad performance updates and employee referral activity.

Hiring Access

Users with Hiring Access can manage recruiting and hiring activities, including:

  • Posting and managing jobs.
  • Viewing job applications.
  • Messaging applicants.
  • Moving applicants through hiring stages.

This permission level is suitable for users who help manage the hiring process.

Employee Access

Employee Access determines which employee information a user can view and manage. There are two options available.

Full Access

Users with Full Access can:

  • Add, update, and terminate employees.
  • Message employees.
  • Send announcements and surveys.
  • Update automated messages.

Direct Reports Only

Users with Direct Reports Only access can view and message the employees they supervise.

This access level has the following restrictions:

  • They cannot create employee groups.
  • They cannot send surveys, but they can view survey results for their direct reports.
  • Announcements are sent only to their direct reports within the selected employee groups.

Which Permission Level Should I Choose?

Choose the permission level that best matches the user's responsibilities:

  • Account Admin: For users who need full platform access and administrative control.
  • Hiring Access: For users who manage job postings, applications, and recruiting activities.
  • Employee Access – Full Access: For users who need to manage employee information and communications across the organization.
  • Employee Access – Direct Reports Only: For supervisors who should only access and communicate with the employees they oversee.
