What is the Job Health Score?

Team Engine's Job Health Score helps you quickly identify issues that could impact your job's visibility and applicant performance.

Each job receives a score from 0–100 based on several factors that help create a complete, high-quality job posting.

What factors affect the Job Health Score?

  • Pay range - Whether a pay range is included and visible to applicants. Adding a pay range can help attract applicants and may be required by some job boards.

Recommended: Add a realistic minimum and maximum pay range and select the option to show it to applicants.

  • Job description quality - How complete, clear, and relevant your job description is. Include the main responsibilities, requirements, and expectations for the role. Avoid descriptions that are too short, vague, or filled with unnecessary keywords.

Job board guidelines: Keep job postings accurate, specific, and applicant-focused. Avoid misleading information, excessive keywords, or content unrelated to the position.

  • Benefits- Whether the benefits or perks offered for the position are included. Adding benefits such as health insurance, PTO, retirement plans, bonuses, or other perks gives applicants a better understanding of the overall opportunity.
  • Job title - Whether the title clearly and accurately describes the position. Use a standard, easy-to-understand job title. Avoid excessive capitalization, emojis, promotional language, or unnecessary keywords.
  • Job location - Whether the job has a specific location. Add the city and state where the position is located. Job boards use location information to show relevant jobs to applicants in nearby areas.
  • Application/screening questions - The questions applicants answer during the application process. Applicants typically answer about 6 screening questions: 5 standard questions and additional questions based on experience or license requirements when applicable. Team Engine keeps the screening process short to make it easier for applicants to complete their application.
  • Job freshness - How current the job posting is. Keep job information accurate and up to date. Avoid frequently deleting, duplicating, or reposting the same job, as repeated reposting may result in duplicate or flagged postings.
  • ATS connection - Whether Team Engine is properly connected to your job board or ATS. For Indeed, make sure your Indeed and Team Engine accounts are properly connected so job information can be shared correctly.
  • Indeed visibility  Pasted markdown - How your job is indexed and displayed on Indeed. Indeed uses its own systems to determine how jobs are indexed, ranked, and shown to applicants. Job quality can affect visibility, but a high Job Health Score does not guarantee a specific position or number of applicants.
